Take your senses on a journey with our whisky selections, perfectly suited to four different occasions. A couple of things to remember: Always serve your whisky at room temperature, so you can best appreciate the complexities of the liquid and savour each sip, paying close attention to aromas and colouring.

Black Tie
What to wear: Every man can emulate James Bond in the right tuxedo. Don a bow tie to add that extra element of distinction. Toward the end of the evening, a few whiskies in, you can wear yours undone or loose around an open collar.
What to drink: Assuming you’re a worldly, seasoned whisky-drinking gent, stick to bourbon. Be bold with a flavourful selection from Kentucky, one of the whisky capitals of the world.
Launch Party
What to wear: Go ahead and start with a suit – always a solid base – but introduce a bit of pattern, too. This is an easy way to signal that although you appreciate the more traditional aspects to men’s dressing, you’re not averse to a bit of fun. Walk with plenty of swagger and a silk scarf underneath your jacket for louche rock star vibes.
What to drink: If you’re after an off-the-wall choice, try a glass of 3D whisky. This combines whiskies from three distilleries beginning with the letter ‘D’ — Dalwhinnie, Dufftown and Dailuaine — for an unexpected taste sensation.
Boys’ Night
What to wear: Ditch the usual sneakers, jeans and t-shirt combo and find the right balance between dressing up and down. If you go for a suit jacket and pocket square for example, ditch the tie and opt for jeans or chinos rather than suit trousers.
What to drink: Tonight’s going to be a late one so choose a tippler that’ll cut through and titillate the taste buds after midnight, when one too many drinks have already been downed. Experts recommend a mature, heavy European blend such as Aberlour a’Bunadh or Macallan Ruby.
Sunday Sippers
What to wear: Go for smartly tailored poolside attire that lets you migrate between beach and bar with ease. Think neat shorts with a polo top and boat shoes or espadrilles.
What to drink: After a happy sundowner? For afternoon drinking, opt for something medium bodied such as Glenlivet, Bunnahabhain or an Oban.
